Family Health and Literacy : A Guide to Easy-to-Read Health Education Materials and Web Sites for Families (2004 - 2005)
Health is an important topic and often the topic of choice for adult learners, especially parents concerned about the health of their families. The Family Health & Literacy Project supported the integration of family literacy and health education through the development of this guide to health literacy curricula, learning activities and low-literacy health education materials. The guide is available online and will help family literacy practitioners and health care providers better meet the health information and skills development needs of families with limited literacy skills.
