June 12 is the World Day Against Child Labor
Poverty and lack of educational opportunities force children to
work. While no one knows the real numbers of child laborers,
many estimate that around 73 million kids under the age of 10
are engaged in child labor—and are thus not in school.
This year, the focus of World Day against Child Labor is focused on education as the best means to end child labor,
including child trafficking.
Since 2002, World Education has been using education to address
