Board Member Farida Kathawalla Launches Boston's Newest Giving Group

September 8, 2017

World Education board member Farida Kathawalla has launched a new giving circle initiative to promote collective learning, decision making, and giving.

Recently interviewed in American Bazaar, Kathawalla describes her “Circle of Hope” giving circle as for “women who are grounded in a tradition of volunteerism and sharing.”

Kathawalla, who has been on World Education’s board since 2015, highlights that giving circles build community by rallying individuals who, over the course of their work together, have meaningful conversations and make real-world decisions. "Through giving circles, donors learn about community issues and become deeply involved in nonprofit organizations they may never have known existed.”

The “Circle of Hope” inaugural meeting is September 10th, 2017, in Belmont, MA, at the Loading Dock, 11 Brighton St, and the keynote speaker is Bostonian Colette Phillips.

Farida Kathawalla is also the chair of World Education’s highly anticipated fundraiser Global Voices, which will take place on October 26th, 2017 at the Seaport Hotel in Boston.
