WORLD EDUCATION AT 60: A SPECIAL REPORT

New Facebook page: ConnectEd

World Education's ConnectEd program now has a Facebook page, where visitors can see colorful photos and raw footage from project sites.

ConnectEd utilizes a range of interventions, including life skills and personal development courses, school reentry classes and equivalency programs for out-of-school youth, vocational skills training, work placement, and 'youth voice' actions and campaigns. All ConnectEd's interventions use new communications technologies to maximize the quality of learning and youth development.

ConnectEd began in April 2011 when the Alcatel-Lucent Foundation partnered with World Education. By March 2014, ConnectEd will reach 13,500 young people from marginalized communities in Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, China, France, and India.
