World Education a partner in US Conference on Adult Literacy (USCAL)

World Education has partnered with ProLiteracy for the first United States Conference on Adult Literacy (USCAL), which will be held November 2-5, 2011, in Houston, TX.

Adult literacy and basic education face enormous challenges related to funding, changing federal policy, and a push for more evaluation and outcome measures--all while experiencing an unprecedented increase in demand for services in a down economy.

USCAL will explore what these challenges mean for program managers, service providers, and adult learners. The conference will focus on building collaboration to expand and improve services. In addition, the conference will feature sessions on adult literacy and ESOL instruction, leadership, and program management.
