College for a Day! project receives funding from State Street Foundation

World Education has been awarded a grant from the State Street Foundation to implement the College for a Day! program. This project will increase the aspirations and readiness of adult learners studying in Boston's Adult Basic, Secondary (GED or diploma) or English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programs for postsecondary education and training. College for a Day! will enhance these programs' ability to provide adult learners meaningful exposure to the college environment in a way that is more cost-effective and educational than what individual programs can do on their own.

The National College Transition Network (NCTN) of the U.S. division of World Education, Inc. will work closely with at least 10 Boston adult education programs. In addition to the State Street Foundation, matching funds have been provided by World Education and Joel Lamstein to further support this project.
