This holiday season our wish is for all girls to be able to go to school. We know that we are lucky to come from a country where education is free and available for girls and boys. But in many countries in Africa and Asia, girls are often not able to go to school, just because they are girls. It's not fair and it hurts each girl's chances in life.
 
What happens to girls who can't go to school? Often they are forced to get married very young, many have to work grueling hours in unsafe professions, some are victim to human trafficking, and are more likely to contract HIV.

However, with education there is hope. We made our gift to World Education in honor of all the girls our age like Vijaya Laskhmi to help make sure that more girls around the world are able to attend school.

We hope that you will join us today in making our wish come true-and the wishes of millions of girls around the world who can only hope for education. Who will you honor by granting a wish?
